The Peavine & Santa Fe Model Railroad

The Peavine & Santa Fe is a model Railroad inspired by the real Santa Fe branchline in Arizona from Ash Fork on the Santa Fe mainline, to Phoenix. The original name of this line was "The Santa Fe, Prescott & Phoenix Railway". The period is set around 1961 when this line still served Prescott and had to climb grades up to 3 per cent.

About Us

Keeping the blog up to date seems to be conciderably task, so let us start with telling a bit about ourselfs.

I am fifty years old, live in Halden, Norway, with my wife Kari and our three sons, Eivind, Hallvard and Erlend.
I used to be a lutheran minister, but eight years ago I became ill because of the chickenpox. I have a disease called ME/Post-Viral Fatigue Syndrome (PVFS).

This causes me to slow down with everything, including my blog.

Eivind (20) has combined highschool with beeing an apprentice as shutterer in the construction business. He plans to study sivil-engineering.
Take a look at his own blog (sorry, it's only in norwegian):

PS.

Yes, we have started on the modelrailroad, but the last weeks there have not been much progress as I ran into some turnoutproblems. Hope things will work better now as I redisigned the yardthroath.
